Mats Hummels (l., Borussia Dortmund)
France vs. Germany 0:1

It’s the 12th February 2012: 1.FC Kaiserslautern just won sensationally 0-1 after extra time at Bayer Leverkusen and got drawn for an away mach at Bayern Munich for the next round. Borussia Dortmund has made it to the semi finals too and commented on the draw: “Awesome what they are doing over there! If they will beat FC Bayern too, I think we should leave the cup to them voluntarily.” Not only since then Mats Hummels is one big sportsman for me and therefore got printed on the back of my Germany jersey.
Fortunately, my girlfriend Melli bought me the shirt as a gift in Karstadt sports, and it has been a faithful companion to me during the World Cup 2014. Nobody could have imagined that we would make it to victory, so the shirt has only three stars over the badge. Probably, I will make my own fourth star out of aluminium foil.
Opinions differ a lot about the shirt, but I do really like the unusual design with the red stripes on the chest. I just wish they would play with black shorts instead of white ones. And I guess it’s too bad that the badge is not embroidered but just printed on.
